Gee, I thought everyone would be too busy with getting ready for Christmas but it's really nice to see that we haven't let these busy times get in the way of our mini fun! We have several entries to add this time. Remember to click on "Completed Bingo Cards" in the column on the right to see all of the Bingo cards started so far.
First off, we have Debbie P., from Nova Scotia. Under the subject of: "My first entry to the Bingo!" she writes:
"
Here are my photos of a 1/24 carpet I wove out of sewing
thread. It took me 30 hours approximately."
Nice job Debbie!
We'll be including this project as "create a mini needlework project" although it could be counted as "create a mini in a scale you don't normally work in".
The first Saturday in December, the Fredericton Area club once again took part in the Model Railroaders show and sale. We had two exhibit tables and a sales table. As a result of this, Marijke H. and Lynn M. both qualify to cross off the box for "sell a mini you made for more than it cost you to make it". I have a very blurry shot of Lynn sitting at her sales table where she sold a variety of mini Fimo "candy" - candy apples, candy bouquets, plates of mint candies, and individually wrapped suckers.
I don't have a picture of Marijke at the sales table but I do have one of her products - a beautiful tray of primroses I purchased for my own mini green house. She also sold several of her hand-stitched cushions, and many other flowers. Here are the primroses I bought.
Next came our annual Christmas party where several of us made our gifts for exchange so qualify for "create/build a mini as a gift".
From Sharon B. - a wonderful selection of tiny hand-made items that were received by Marijke H.:
From Me, Marilyn D. - a Christmas inspired cabinet received by Louise McS.:
From Marijke H. - a beautiful poinsettia received by Lynn M.:
From Lynn M., received by Sharon B., a wonderfully accurate "Baby Groot" from the movie "Guardians of the Galaxy":
and From Louise McS., a "galvinized" cream can received by Marilyn D.:
The last entry for this post is also from me, Marilyn D. At Camp this year I purchased a little wooden shelf at the Silent Auction. I had no idea what I was going to do with it but this week inspiration hit as I was decorating for Christmas. I took a few days to gather my materials and put together an entry for "
Create a celebration-themed project (Christmas, Halloween, birthday, anniversary, etc.)". I am showing the finished product here, hanging on my kitchen wall, however, if you want to see how it progressed from raw wood shelf to Christmas decoration, please visit my own blog at charminis.blogspot.ca
So - bear with me now as I have to update all of these Bingo cards. The updated cards should all be available by this time tomorrow evening as I'm going to bed now and am out Christmas shopping tomorrow morning. *smile* I promise I will get them done tomorrow!! - Marilyn D.
