You know how they say people own dogs that look just like them? Well, maybe it applies to miniaturists too. For example our latest entry to the Bingo Challenge features an adorable scene that doesn't take up much room - just like its creator - Liz D.!
She has taken me back to my childhood with her 1:48 scale room from The Friendly Giant children's show. Yes, you can see the little chair, the rocking chair and the chair for two more to curl up in.
What a great first entry for the Challenge, Liz!
Don't forget you can click on the pictures to see them better. Also, don't forget to check out the postings from earlier today. There are some great ones coming in! TTFN! - Marilyn

More from our busy campers!
Patricia S.
First - let me apologize for not recognizing Patricia S.'s email of a couple of weeks ago as also being a Bingo entry. Patricia found three interesting on-line tutorials about making 1:24 scale items and wondered whether they could qualify for the box about sharing three blogs with the group. Of course they should count! It's the combination of increasing our own knowledge by finding new blogs or on-line educational opportunities and then sharing these with the rest of us so we can all learn something new or find a fun new blog to follow.
So, in case you missed them, here are the three links that Patricia shared with us:
How to make a 1:24 scale picnic table https://www.pinterest.com/pin/146437425364921911/
How to make a 1:24 scale basket https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9-7eA2t5haA
How to make a 1:24 scale porch swing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-KhQNoVqI-4
Have fun with these three links Patricia sent. You will notice, when you follow theselinks, that therre are many more tutorials there. You're bound to find something to fit your skill set and your mini plans!
This brings the number of entries Patricia has in the Bingo Challenge up to 7. How many more will she have done before September rolls around????
Aleeta K.
Now, we have Aleeta's latest entries - and she has been busy!
We'll start with her entry for sculpting and furring a mini animal - and we all know how incredibly good she is at these. Isn't this little guy beautiful?!?
Next, Aleeta has been trying her hand at making some smaller scale items and is able to use three of these new pieces to fill in some Bingo squares:
This first little bridge scene is her entry for building something in a scale she doesn't normally work in:
In the next scene she tried, she made the little birds herself using Primo clay, qualifying her for that square:
I love how she used the acorns to seal the top of these little scenes. So cute!
Furthering her skills in this new scale she is trying out, Aleeta had to make her own little hinged door to go in a Hobbit house:
Finally, one entry that even Aleeta has failed to mention - there is a square on our Bingo Card for selling an item you make yourself for more than the cost of making it. Even though we have no picture of this for Aleeta, I can certify from personal experience, having purchased pieces of Aleeta's luggage and also a beautiful calico cat from her, that Aleeta qualifies for this Bingo Square as well.
This brings Aleeta's entries to 10!!! The unfortunate part is that she's skirting around the "free" square but hasn't been able to "capture" it yet. Like all Bingo games - if you have a straight line - vertical, horizontal, or diagonal - that goes through the free square, or you fill in all the squares surrounding the free square - you pick up that one extra square. Now there's something to shoot for!
As usual, you can check out the progress of the Bingo cards by clicking on the "completed Bingo Cards" label in the column to the right of this posting.
Louise and I look forward to many more entries coming in as the September deadline looms closer! Have fun everybody! - Marilyn and Louise
