Another day closer -- another Bingo entry

Aleeta K. has checked off another Bingo square.  She built this lovely cabinet from a kit as a gift for her niece.  I'm sure it will be well-loved.

You can check out all the Bingo cards by clicking on the "Completed Bingo Cards" label in the column on the right.

Just to let you know - 2 people have completed 11 of the 24 tasks listed on the Bingo Cards.  That's almost at the half-way mark.  Good for them!  Can any of the rest of us give them a little stronger competition?  There's still time left! - Marilyn

Three more Bingo entries and we're all caught up...I think!

Finally, after tonight I think I will have caught up on the entries I have received to date.  If I have missed anybody - I do apologize and ask if you could drop me a line and let me know.

Without further ado, I give you entries for Marijke H., Patricia S., and Sharon B.:

Marijke is checking off the square that says to "make a scale model child's toy".   She has sent us a picture of a set of children’s toys, made from Chris Dukeman designs in an old issue of the small format Nutshell News.  They will end up in her as-yet-to-be-finished children’s shop (another UFO from CMHH).

The toys include a rocking horse, doll cradle, bunny pull toy and Noah’s Ark complete with teeny
animals. The second crocodile was found after the photo was taken, cleverly masked on a green
square on her quilted table runner. (We've all had something like that happen!)

Patricia's entry is for the square that says to "create a mini in a scale you don't usually work in". She has created this adorable little pirate doll, and made his outfit as well.  As Patricia says: "This pirate doll is somewhat his own scale".  She has also given us a picture of him next to her usual 1:12 scale pirate girl so we can see the difference in scales.

Sharon's entry is the repair of a "broken or neglected item".  Here we see her after this adorable sewing box has been given new life.  Sharon bought it at the Bangor show over a year ago.  It was missing two legs and she decided it was time to do something about it.  Voila! - Just like new again!

So - now that we're all caught up - let's all remember there is still time to send in more entries.  I think we had 28 or 30 people at Camp last year and only 13 have sent in Bingo entries.  Let's see if we can't increase that number!

To check out everyone's current status, don't forget to go to the "Completed Bingo Cards" in the label section in the column to the right.  Thanks everyone! - Marilyn

Now for Audrey's entries...

For starters, Audrey checks off the square for making a mini needlework project with this bed in a box for a Tudor house she is working on. It fits in the chimney wall.  She made the mattress and all the bedding.

For a second square, she shares these pictures of two pieces of Bespaq she had to glue and repair.  She says that Liz will back her up on this entry but I think we can take her word for it!  The only thing I would like to know though - is how many of you have problems with Bespaq pieces falling apart?  I know they are delicate but, given they are on the pricey side, I find I'm getting tired of always repairing pieces.  Maybe it's just me!

Next in line, Audrey was one of the lucky ones who made it to the Chicago show this year.  She took a workshop while she was there.  It will be a wizard shop when complete.  She says it was a great class and she learned some new distressing techniques, using egg carton and finishing it,   using lead tape to make antique-looking windows, and using full-size wallpaper as stucco.

She is also checking off the box for donating an item to our Saturday night Camp auction. She donates something each year and has already committed to donate for 2017 so she definitely qualifies.

Now - I am checking one more square for her which she didn't even mention - Audrey is one of the people who give so generously of their time to actually organize our annual Camp Mini Ha Ha so I have checked off the box for contributing to the mini community.

Don't forget to click on any picture you would like to see enlarged.  Also, to check the status of the Bingo Cards to date, just click on the "Completed Bingo Cards" label in the column to the right.  Thanks everyone. - Marilyn

Better late than never!

Hello everyone - I am sorry it has taken me so long to catch up on the Bingo entries.  I was away for the month of June then got extremely busy but that's no excuse!

In the interest of making sure no one gets "lost in the shuffle", rather than post all the missing entries in one day, I will update this Bingo Challenge blog for the next few nights so each person gets the attention they deserve!

So - tonight:

A few new entries from Jo-Ann S.:

First - she made some adorable lamps that she gave as gifts to her friends in her mini group.  I'm sure everyone was very happy to receive them:

She also gets to check off the box for creating  a celebration themed project with her 1:12th scale lighted Christmas tree.  It's difficult to see the lights in the daylight but, yes, they really are there:

Last but not least, Jo-Ann shares with us pictures of her entry for creating a mini in a scale she doesn't normally work in.  Here are her 1:24 twig furniture pieces:

This brings Jo-Ann's total number of entries to 11.  Very impressive, Jo-Ann!

As usual - if you would like to see the Bingo cards as they are right now, click on the label for "Completed Bingo Cards" in the column on the right.

There is still time to get your entries in.  Just send your pictures and a description of which Bingo square you are filling in to me at mdriscn618 at rogers dot com.

Tomorrow evening - entries from Audrey M.  Stay tuned! - Marilyn
