Last night we had an entry from Jo-Ann S. Tonight we have four entries from Mary M. Now, isn't that a great way to start your Bingo card?!?
First up is Mary's entry for the square "Build a piece of furniture from scratch". She made this teachers lectern, made mostly from a fan.
Next, Mary learned how to use a tool she hadn't used before - a dremel. She used it to hollow out a miniature barrel to use as the centre part of a pot belly stove.
Mary's third entry tells how she and her friend and fellow Camper, Leah S., encouraged youngsters to take up the miniature hobby by setting up a miniature display at a local school Christmas Bazaar. Mary displayed her Christmas room box and she and Leah taught about 25 children how to make mouse beds and Christmas wreaths. This was the third year they have displayed, but the first where they have taught a miniature craft. They had a lot of fun but, unfortunately, do not have a picture of the event. Well, I'm thinking that we can take her word for it for this time - although, if we have any serious objections we may have to revert to a strict interpretation of the rules. I guess this is a square for both Mary and Leah!
Mary's last entry is for making her own gluing jig. In her words: "A piece of stainless steel, some magnets and a square. Very simple, very portable. I love it."
So that's 4 squares checked off for Mary and one for Leah. Don't forget you can check out the progress of everyone's Bingo cards by clicking on the "Completed Bingo Cards 2017/18" label in the column on the right.
Please remember to send pictures in with your entry. Take a picture with you holding the entry if at all possible. Thanks everyone and keep having fun! - Marilyn

Lots of entries on their way!
Tonight we're starting with an entry from Jo-Ann S. - a beautiful little quilt, completely hand-pieced and hand-stitched. For some reason, Jo-Ann states "I will not be making too many of these but I had to try at least once!".
But Jo-Ann - this one turned out so lovely, how can you think about stopping at one?!?
It really is beautiful, Jo-Ann. You did a phenomenal job - - and you get to check off the Bingo square for a piece of needlework. Onward and upward!
Over the next several days we will see entries from Julie, Mary, Garry, Iris, and Lynn. If I miss anyone - please be sure to contact me as I had a major computer glitch just before Christmas and lost about 1300 emails!!
Mary M. did ask a question that I thought I would share with you all - she was wondering how the "free" space worked - whether you get to choose any project you want or whether it is truly "free". The answer is that you get to count the "free" space if you complete a line that goes through it - horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. So keep that in mind as you plan which projects to tackle and where they sit on your Bingo card. You might as well try to pick up a free entry if you can! Thank you everyone for your patience these last several weeks. - Marilyn D.
